Writing Update 1: As Time Goes By...

Evening all,

It's that time of the week again. I have to hold my hand up in front of the class this time, I've been slacking. Well, not so much as slacking...but I've come down with a case of writers block (oddly convenient that I did a blog post on just that topic yesterday). I hope that it's not terminal and I'm pretty sure it's not contagious, but I've got this weird...

...you don't want to hear about that, now, do you?

Anyway, I'm forcing my way through it. My current project, as some of you may know, is a heroic-fantasy novella, being handled under the working title Fires. The first manuscript draft is out with a handful of test readers and garnering a good response. I'm currently touching bases with several artists in an effort to sort a 'cover' for an ebook on the amazon kindle system. If all goes well, Fires should be hitting the shelves (well, Amazon's site) in the early autumn.

I'm working a blurb for Fires so fingers crossed I'll have something concrete by next week

On another note, Prophecies of War has been chosen by :iconconnorlamping: Connorlamping to be read aloud for his group The Writer Podcast, on DeviantArt. I'll keep you all updated on how this goes, but I'm pretty excited about having one of my short stories recorded. It's like having your own little audio book (I WISH!).

As well as writing, I've been carving myself a little 'social networking' home-away-from-home. You can find me around the interwebz, here:

Finally, I've started to put the feelers out for some new concept art. There's a few bits and bobs in the pipeline but if you'd like to help out, just drop me a line!

Thanks for stopping by :D

Emrys.

  1. Dude, before you release Fires, you should run it through Book Country. I'm serious. It's the best place for an idea of what professional feed back will feel like from people you don't know. It has helped me immensely.
